- To commit to a wedding, I’ll have you sign a few papers and pay a downpayment of $400.
Choosing Your Wedding Shoot Package
After I receive your agreement and downpayment, it’s time to think about what wedding package you want.
My pricing is based on two factors:
- The time it takes me to organize and shoot your wedding events, and
- The amount of photos you want to own after your wedding.
The following package options cover the first portion of the pricing list above, and the second portion is covered under Choosing Your Photo Collection below.

Preparation: Timeline, Checklist & Considerations
- Once you’ve selected a package and I’ve received your deposit, I’ll send the prep guide that walks you through everything from choosing outfits to strategies for getting others to cooperate, and the engagement session (included with specific packages).
- My guide typically answers 90% of questions that come up, and you can always ask me any other questions that you feel are unanswered (time for this is included in my pricing). We can figure it out together!
- Once I hear back from you on these questions, I’ll prepare a shot list, and clarify any other pending questions (if I need to consider any other contacts or planner info, etc). We’ll hop on a phone call to review the day of photo-list, timeline, and any other questions you have.
- The wedding package balance is due 30 days before the wedding day.
- I’ll reach out in the week leading up to the wedding to confirm details, and to discuss any changes.
Engagement Session
My mid- and large-size wedding pricing includes an engagement session, with 20-30 photo options returned to you within 2 weeks of our smaller engagement shoot. You could use them for save the date invites, full wedding invites, any other wedding collateral, and for yourselves too!
Some suggestions for Engagement Session scheduling:
- Those who work regular business hours typically schedule sunrise sessions or late afternoon sunset times to work in a weekday session.
- Mornings almost universally allow for the most energy in photos, and it’s a great time of day for beautiful light.
- Alternatively, if you have children under five years old, I encourage you to consider a session at or as close to sunrise as you can reasonably be ready.
- Otherwise, late afternoon/early evening [usually around 1.5 hours before sunset] OR city-lit night sessions are excellent options.
- Weather can bring beauty to a photo, but I understand the downsides to be photographed in the pouring rain or freezing snow. We can reschedule sessions for inclement weather, or use your home as a backdrop location for indoor or semi-indoor sessions.
If you prefer to opt out of an Engagement Session, let me know and we can discuss augmented pricing.
Shooting Your Wedding Day
- On your wedding day (our photo day), we’ll stick to the photo list and timeline that we made together.
- First (and all day), take a breath and relax… I wholeheartedly encourage eating, hydrating, dancing a little and/or sharing a celebratory drink to loosen up and to get hyped for photo-time. Enjoy the day.
- Remember, we’ve accounted for time for wardrobe malfunctions, hanging with friends, child meltdowns; we’ll stay flexible and go with the flow.
- If something comes up and you’re on a time crunch, let me know as soon as you know. Then, we’ll do the best we can together.
- I’ll stay on your schedule all day. At dinnertime, I’ll eat at the same time (and in the same room) as you.
- It’s a fun day, and I’ll shoot thousands of photos: there will be so much to choose from.
Reviewing Your Photos
- You’ll receive an email from me letting you know that your photos are ready within 3 months of your wedding.
- All photos will be edited and ready for your review, and your slideshow will be waiting for you to hit play.
- Once you’ve had a chance to review all photos them, you’ll let me know which collection you want to purchase.
- After that, you’ll have a full month to select the specific digital files and print items you want to use to fill that collection.
Choosing Your Photo Collection
Recapping from earlier, my pricing is based on two factors: 1) the time it takes me to organize and shoot your wedding events, and 2) the amount of photos you want to own after your wedding.
My packages include printing credits so you can have both digital files, and printed files delivered directly to you. If you prefer not to print any photos, contact me and we can discuss augmented pricing.
- Think about how many photos you actually want to own, and have the license to print and distribute.
- If you want to print something on the pricier side, like a photo book or album, you’ll want to choose the collections with more print credits now to save on the cost and time it takes to go elsewhere, later.
- What to do with your photos is perhaps the most important aspect to consider when planning a photo session, but it’s all too often the aspect that’s overlooked… all that time and money invested deserves a better return than photos gathering dust on a hard drive somewhere. You’ll never get the same feeling looking at your photos on a screen as you will seeing them on your wall or flipping through the pages of an album, so I suggest a substantial print credit with every collection.
Once you’ve mulled over your needs, you’ll pick from one of these packages:
Small Collection: $2500
- License to own your choice of 50 high-quality files and a print release.
- $500 gift print-credit toward your choice of anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, additional digital files, etc.
Average Collection: $4000
- License to own your choice of 250 high-quality files and a print release
- $1500 gift print-credit toward your choice of anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, additional digital files, etc.
Large Collection: $5500
- A complete set of all high-quality files and a print release.
- $2500 gift print-credit toward your choice of anything in the gallery store: prints, frames, albums, additional digital files, etc.
